How to avoid being "Trumpet Typed"
This informative and entertaining workshop takes on an interactive atmosphere. Topics included in this clinic are:
Daily Routines: What to practice, when to practice, and how to practice.
Chop Maintenance: How to keep the chops in shape on and off the road.
Business Savvy: How to get those gigs and keep those gigs!
How to become a successful freelance trumpet player in today’s changing music scene.
Jazz - Phrasing and Listening
Questions are always encouraged. This is an ideal workshop for any serious music students and specially geared towards trumpet and lower brass players.
Duration: 60 Minutes
Performance Workshop / Rehearsal
This exciting workshop includes a one-hour trumpet master class, a 45-minute rehearsal, and a performance of 2 to 4 selections with your big band or small jazz combo, all on the same day!
Charts can be provided or Carl can play from your repertoire. This workshop can be broken into two consecutive days if necessary.
Carl Fischer & Organic Groove Ensemble Concert / Workshop
Carl and his four-piece ensemble will do a one-hour interactive workshop with your big band or jazz combo. Carl will work with the brass section, his sax player will work with the reed section and his rhythm section will work with your rhythm section!
We can work on your bands' current music and play demonstrations.
Following will be a 90 min concert that day or evening with the Carl Fischer & Organic Groove Ensemble, playing all of the bands material. Currently this band is working two to three times a month around N.Y. playing jazz clubs and Festivals to rave reviews!
